The search by multiple law enforcement agencies in the Phelps area for two suspects involved in a vehicle chase and shooting Sunday afternoon has been suspended, Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero announced shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. He identified the suspects as Andres Escalera, 22, with a last known address of 169 Genesee St., Geneva, and Jonathan O. Rivera, 25, with a last known address of 133 High St., Geneva.
