The Department of Music at Nazareth College has announced the appointment of Jared Chase as assistant professor of music, director of bands and coordinator of instrumental music.
Chase will be welcomed to the faculty for the fall 2012 semester by music department faculty, staff and students alike.
Prior to Nazareth, Chase was the director of bands and chair of the Department of Music at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., where he directed the symphonic band, jazz ensemble, brass ensemble and pep band, and taught trumpet as well as courses in instrumental music and conducting.
Chase has guest conducted the United States Military Academy's West Point Band, the United States Coast Guard Band and the Salina Symphony.
