This weekend's Riesling Festival isn't the only time to check out local wineries and their products. Here are a few wine-themed events taking place soon.
Keuka Spring Vineyards to celebrate anniversary
Keuka Spring Vineyards, on Keuka Lake, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a party on Sunday, Aug. 15, from noon to 4 pm. The event will feature a pig roast, games, live music and wine tasting. Tickets ($25; $20 for case and wine club members) can be purchased by contacting the winery. Reservations are requested, and the party is open to the public.
Keuka Spring Vineyards was founded in 1981 by Len and Judy Wiltberger who continue to run the winery today. The winery is known for a wide selection of premium wines and has received recognition for its wines.

3-4-1 Fridays at Wine & Culinary Center
Each Friday through Labor Day at the New York Wine and Culinary Center in Canandaigua, a different winery will be featured with special deals, hors d'oeuvres and door prizes. ‘Julie Taboulie’ to teach at Wine & Culinary Center
On Wednesday, Aug. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m., the New York Wine and Culinary Center will officially be adding Julie Ann Sageer (also known as “Julie Taboulie”) and her popular Lebanese cuisine to its regular roster of culinary classes and chef instructors offered at the center.
Julie Ann will be commencing her arrival with her “Middle Eastern Mezze,” which is an arrangement of traditional small plates (hors d’oeuvres or appetizers).

Casa Larga celebrates end of summer
Casa Larga’s Annual Wine and Food Pairing celebrates the end of La Dolce Vita summer and the beginning of the Harvest Season. Each year, the Bella Vista Team creates a magically themed dinner and this year will be no exception: A summer celebration of the little seaside town, Gaeta, Italy.
The dinner will take place on Thursday, Aug. 19; appetizers begin at 6:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 7 p.m. The event is at Casa Larga Vineyards, 2287 Turk Hill Road, Fairport.
Admission is $55/standard ticket, $50/Wine Lover Club ticket and $45/per person for tables of 10.
