A crowd of more than 3,000 greeted 25-year-old pop and country singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat with open arms the night of Friday, Aug. 13 at Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center. Caillat wasted no time showing off her her musical talent, as well as her California tan, coming onstage wearing a sequined dress the glistened as the sun set. Caillat opened with her hit song, "Bubbly."
Caillat is currently touring with Sheryl Crow, and she had the crowd on their feet several times as she played through her set.
Fans like Maggie Gould of Pittsford, Megan Shoniker of Greece and Rachel Clonick of Hilton showed their enthusiasm of Caillat's performance by creating large signs; theirs reading "Colbie, marry me?"
For others, it was a mother-daughter affair at CMAC. Katie Skirvin of Macedon and her daughter Molly Rush of Palmyra enjoyed the evening together. Molly gave her mom the tickets as a Mothers Day gift, saying her mother played Sheryl Crow music ever since she was a little girl, and she grew up loving her music.
Cele and Dave Munn of Canandaigua said they listened to a Sheryl Crow CD while tailgating in the VIP parking lot before the show. The Munns said it was the second time they have attended a Crow concert, having seen her at CMAC in 2008. Dave Munn said his favorite Crow song is "Leaving Las Vegas."
