A former Greece bus monitor, who was bullied on a school bus is starting her own anti-bullying foundation.

Thousands of people donated to Karen Klein after watching the viral video, which shows Klein being bullied by students. In total, more than $700,000 was raised.

Klein decided to take $100,000 from those funds and start the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation. The agency will help fund counseling programs at schools across the country and create curriculum to help teach students about bullying.

"You have all inspired me by your acts of love. But now it is time for me to give back and to turn your single act of kindness into my own personal movement to stop bullying in America," Klein said in a statement from the foundation. "The Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation, which I am seeding with $100,000, will be the gathering point for millions of people to support the anti-bullying movement. Together, we will change the world."

The foundation's website lists four goals:

  • 1. Provide Funds for anti-bullying counseling in schools across the country and around the world
  • 2. Create educational curriculum that will teach about Bullying and what each of us can do to stop it
  • 3. Support great organizations that are bringing awareness to the anti-bullying movement
  • 4. Develop new media assets that will serve the cause of anti-bullying

The Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation has been established as part of the GiveBack Foundation, which charges $1 a month for hosting. The rest of the funds raised will go to "the cause," which is currently a music tour, the No Bullying Tour 2012.

Other listed groups supported by the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation include Max Sidorov's 7 Million Acts of Love; Play Pretty, Play Pals Project; and Pacer Center's Teens Against Bullying.
