Flower City Habitat for Humanity (FCHH) celebrated years of volunteer service at its annual dinner and meeting on June 14 at The Burgundy Basin, 1361 Marsh Road, Pittsford.
Along with volunteer awards, FCHH honored some Habitat supporters with specialized achievement awards, and recognized those Habitat homeowners who have paid their mortgage in full.
“This is our favorite event of the year,” said Tiffany Paine, associate manager of Outside Constituent Groups, in a news release. “This is the event where we spend a few hours really giving credit to those that make Flower City Habitat such a success – our volunteers."
A special moment in the evening came when FCHH honored its first group of 25 year volunteers. Founded in 1984, the men have been with FCHH since the beginning helping to shape the culture and set the foundation of the non-profits long-time trade volunteers, the Hammer and Saw crew.
