The Pittsford Mendon soccer team had their season ended in arguably the worst possible way, losing to Mercy in the Class A finals by one goal.
With 10 players who saw playing time last year, the Vikings should be back in the mix to win their third Section 5 title in six seasons. Mendon opened the Division II portion of their schedule with a 6-0 victory over Brighton on Wednesday.
Pittsford Sutherland should improve upon last year’s season in head coach Adam Hiller’s second year. The Barons have plenty of offensive talent on this year’s roster including Charlotte Williams and Hannah Wadsworth.
The Monarchs lost several talented players, but they bring back talented scorer Julia Delgatti. H-AC will look to get back into the Finger Lakes West race thanks to a veteran roster featuring 10 returning players.
