A Victor man and a Rochester woman were charged just after 9 a.m. July 24 after an alleged motor home crash on City Pier in Canandaigua, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.

According to deputies, Darla Ferera, 49, of Rochester was driving the motor home on the City Pier and allegedly hit a tree. After that, deputies said, Garrett J. O’Brien, 49, of Victor proceeded to operate the motor vehicle and he allegedly struck another vehicle while still on the Pier. He then allegedly left the area, police added.

O’Brien and Ferera were charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and uninspected motor vehicle, police said. O’Brien was also charged with unlicensed operation and Ferera was additionally charged with failure to update the addresses on both the registration and driver’s license.

Both were sent to the Ontario County Jail — O’Brien on $1,500 cash bail and Ferera on $750 cash bail.
