A 62-year-old Chili man is dead following a one-car crash in Chili Wednesday night. It happened around 8:30 p.m.

Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies say Donald Lawrence was driving a 2011 Jeep southbound on Scottsville Road when he lost control, crossed into the northbound lane and hit a guard rail. Lawrence was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he later died.

Lawrence's wife, Shirley, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies say Lawrence may have suffered a medical condition causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
