A school bus driver is facing charges after police say she placed her hands on a student while on the bus.
47-year-old Susan Mantz, a bus driver for Marcus Whitman High School, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Police say the charges come as a result of a complaint from the child's parent.
According to police, while the bus was still parked in the bus circle at Marcus Whitman High School, the students on board were becoming loud and disruptive, To try and quiet one of the students, police say Mantz placed her hand over the student's mouth.
The student, who was not hurt, reported the incident to his mother, who then reported it to police.
Mantz will appear in Gorham Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
