A Lima woman was sent to Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, Aug. 31 after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 41 and Route 332, said Ontario County sheriff’s deputies.

According to police, James Edson, of Farmington, was driving north on Route 332, and when he was stopped at a red light, he was struck from behind by a vehicle that was driven by Robert J. Saunders, 77, of Lima, Livingston County. His passenger, Celeste Saunders, also 77 from Lima,  was transported to Strong, where she was treated for chest pain. Robert Saunders and Edson were uninjured, police said.

Saunders was issued a ticket for allegedly following too closely, police said.
