The local American Red Cross has deployed three volunteers to eastern New York to prepare for Hurricane Sandy's landfall.

Tony Muscolino, from Manchester, is responding to Albany as a government operations supervisor. Sarah Perkins, of Henrietta, is responding to White Plains as a disaster assessment manager. Winnie Romeril, of Wheeler, Steuben County, is also heading to White Plains to provide public affairs expertise.
