The Irondequoit Police Department and the Irondequoit Crime Prevention Coalition are hosting a candlelight vigil to honor victims of crime at 7 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 6.
The event is designed to honor crime victims and their families and remind the community that the Irondequoit Police Department and the Irondequoit Crime Prevention Coalition stand together to prevent crime and support those who have been victimized.
The community is welcome to join the vigil on the Irondequoit Town Hall grounds, 1280 Titus Ave., Irondequoit.
Representatives from the Irondequoit Police Department, Town of Irondequoit, Irondequoit Crime Prevention Coalition, Monroe County District Attorney’s office, Alternatives for Battered Women and local government officials will be in attendance to show support for those who have fallen victim to crime in the community.
October is also crime prevention month.
