Stokoe Farms in Scottsville is inviting children of all ages to its grand opening this Saturday.
“We’re not haunted; we’re not Halloween, but we are very family friendly,” said Suzanne Stokoe.
The farm’s host of fall activities including the corn maze, petting zoo and mini zipline will be open.
The opening will coincide with a benefit for Bridges for Brain Injury in conjunction with Wildlife Defenders. The group will be bringing over 20 exotic animals to the farm. Jarod Miller of Animal Exploration will be at the farm for autographs and photos from 1 to 3 p.m.
The farm also has an expanded gift shop, the Country Gift Barn, that features over 20 local craftsmen and women, including products for sale like honey, goat milk, soap, maple syrup and pottery.
Along with an expanded gift shop, the farm also has expanded food on the premises including the Reindeer Rest Stop and Harvest Barn Treats.
The farm’s fall season runs from Sept. 17 to Oct. 30.
