Hope Ministry was founded in 1998 as an outreach ministry responding to the special and emergency needs of Webster area residents.
Hope House has been located at 1450 Ridge Road, Webster. It provides for more than 100 families a month with emergency food, clothing, gas, furniture, household goods and financial assistance. The emphasis is on preventing homelessness.
Eighty volunteers come from almost all Webster churches and are of all denominations. They are fully trained to help those who find themselves in need. They are committed to helping all who come to them. They are received in a spirit of compassion and care, faith and hospitality.
The Hope Ministry location, however, is now in need of critical repairs.
That’s why the organization is asking for community support.
The home that has served thousands of people in the past 14 years is finding itself in need. Windows need replacement. Gutters are falling down. The siding has become too weathered to power wash safely.
The community is being asked to consider a one-time donation to Hope Ministry’s capital improvement campaign to enhance the home that has become a refuge for so many of Webster’s poor and vulnerable.
Hope continues to benefit from a broad base of support. In addition to Webster churches, many businesses and civic groups, students, schools, Scout troops, organizations and individuals support the ministry.
