Researchers said doctors need to have the talk about sex — with older adults.

Sexually transmitted diseases have risen among seniors.

 Recent statistics show STDs in 50- to 90-year-olds has doubled over the past decade, including HIV.

Experts aren't sure why but speculate the increasing use of erectile dysfunction drugs may be responsible and that older women are physically more vulnerable to these diseases.
 
Sexually active adults need to be aware they are still at risk for potentially dangerous STDs and that doctors should discuss these risks with patients asking for erectile dysfunction drugs, researchers said..
