One of the largest charity galas in Rochester will also be the setting for one of Rochester General Health System’s (RGHS) largest announcements in recent memory.
At the Founders Society Gala tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 6, RGHS will announce the launch of its comprehensive fundraising campaign. The campaign will address a broad range of community needs by supporting the construction and renovation of key facilities, the acquisition and incorporation of new technology and the funding of community-focused programs.
Anthony Benedetti is director of the campaign.
“We’re excited to start sharing the details with the community,” Benedetti said.
More than 1,000 people are expected at tomorrow's gala, during which three philanthropy awards will also be presented.
This year’s honorees are the Przysinda Family Foundation, Nancy Briggs, and Arthur “Fritz” Liebert. A former president and CEO of Rochester General, Liebert passed away on Aug. 27, 2012.
