Macy's at Marketplace Mall is among a list of stores that the retail company will close in 2017.

In a release, the company says it is closing 68 stores following disappointing holiday sales numbers. Macy's says the closures are a move to reorganize. The closures are part of 100 stores the company plans to close in total.

An exact closure date is not known, but Macy's says most stores will close in spring 2017 and others by mid-year.

This isn't the first time the company has closed locations. Last January, the company announced it would close another 40 stores.

Marketplace Mall issued the following statement:

"Today's announcement by Macy's regarding the store in Henrietta is a reflection of the rapidly changing landscape of retail. While we cannot comment on the plans for the Macy's parcel, our ongoing efforts to transform the Marketplace into a super-regional outlet shopping destination will continue. It is fortunate that our efforts commenced well before this announcement."
