John Carroll University student Catherine Tripp, of Rochester, participated in a study abroad opportunity offered by the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures during March. Tripp was among 20 students who traveled to Sicily and Rome as part of the course, “Literary Parks: The Mosaic of Sicily.”
Lauren Graupman and Sara Roberts, of Pittsford, joined the fight against childhood cancer with UDance at the University of Delaware. Graupman joined as a moraler; Roberts as a dancer, UDance is a student-run philanthropy benefiting the Wilmington-based Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.
Jack Kaufman, of Pittsford, is a student-athlete this academic year at Union College. Kaufman, a member of the class of 2020, is on the lacrosse team.
Michael Levine, of Pittsford, was named to the Emerson College dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester. Levine is majoring in theater studies.
Ithaca College’s Natalie Meyer, a Pittsford native, received a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Atlantic All-Region award March 6. To be named all-region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-five of an individual event in the region according to final Track and Field Results Reporting System data or be part of a top-three relay team. Meyer was recognized for clearing 1.64 meters in the high jump.
Laura Talpey, of Rochester, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Talpey is enrolled in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.
