Kim White, president and CEO of River City Co., will end the Reshaping Rochester series with “Starting with the River: Chattanooga’s Model for Successful Downtown Redevelopment” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. May 9 at The Strathallan, 550 East Ave., Rochester.
Chattanooga, Tennessee, decided 30 years ago to come together around riverfront revitalization that transformed downtown. Starting with the Tennessee Aquarium, the revitalization now includes a riverwalk, ballpark, movie theater and a climbing gym.
White has been the president of RRC for seven years. Under her leadership, RRC has focused downton residential development and revitalizing underutilized and vacant properties.
Tickets cost $15 general admission, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older and free for students with an ID.
