Louise Slaughter is the true bipartisan candidate for the 25th Congressional District. She was an original sponsor of the STOCK Act, which bans insider trading by Congress and their staff. In order to get this bill passed, she needed the support of the Republican majority in the House. Not an easy task.
Contrast that with County Executive Maggie Brooks, who works with a County Legislature consisting of 18 Republicans and 11 Democrats. She only needs to have the Republicans with her to have her policies passed. With that majority, her claims of working with both sides is ridiculous.
Louise Slaughter has proven her ability to get things done in Congress and deliver for her constituents. Louise deserves our support on Nov. 6.
