Many people are upset over the 2012 U.S Olympic athletes dress uniforms being made in China.
What makes it even worse is the garish and oversized POLO insignia on the expensive blazers, blouses and shirts.
I contributed money to the Olympic Committee, but seeing how money was wasted on expensive billboard-type uniforms made overseas, I doubt there will be future contributions.
I’m for no logos on any of the uniforms, as these uniforms prominently advertise the POLO brand versus honoring the athletes’ achievements as world-class athletes from the U.S.
Soon athletes could look like race cars with patches from major corporate sponsors all over their dress uniforms, or they may be required to carry sandwich boards containing the names of major corporate sponsors!
Ridiculous, what was the Olympic Committee thinking?
