Recently after the Red Jacket board meeting, we learned a valuable lesson. My son and I left wondering “why don’t they listen?” Is it that they’re too busy or just don’t care?
Six months of no answers. What are we as adults showing our kids when what they have to say is not worth listening to? These young men took a stand like our Founding Fathers did, only to come upon deaf ears. These boys were turned down more than once to speak, not only in public but private.
How are things ever going to change when the top has no comment or the time to listen to the parties involved? What is high school about, the adults or the students?
I would like to publicly thank Rich Miles for his integrity, dedication to a bunch of young adults and their families.
