The Rochester Futbol Club U16 Boys wrapped up an impressive season after losing in the finals at the US Club Soccer Nationals held July 27-30 in Chicago.

The team outscored their opponents during the tournament with 11 goals for versus three against. Their final game against Cincinnati United Premier was a physical intense game ending in a tie with both teams having opportunities to win the game in regulation.

Unfortunately, RFC conceded a goal in overtime to finish their season as National runner-ups.

To qualify for the Nationals, RFC won the Mid-Atlantic Regionals held at Hammonton, N.J.. Playing in extremely hot conditions, the team went undefeated outscoring their opponents 16-2.

In local area play, the RFC U16 Boys won the Thruway League Title finishing the season with a record of 8-0-0 with 26 goals for and only 2 against.  The Thruway League is comprised of teams from the following areas:  Albany, Binghamton, Rochester and Buffalo.

Players for the team were Matt Bischoff, Hunter Critchlow, Ryan LeFrois, Alex Mangerian, Emre Serbetci, Kyle Ingalls, Eric Strauchen, Sean Loucks, Anthony Hanna, Nour Hasan, Evan Orlando, Frank Martella, Nate Lindley, Andy Siviy, Josh Hunt, Rani Hubeishy, David Medina, and Preston Garcia.

The team was coached by Dale Jordon and Ty Hicken.

The players are from Brighton, Fairport, Greece, Spencerport, Marcus Whitman, Rush Henrietta, Penfield, Webster Schroeder, Webster Thomas and Irondequoit.
