The U.S. Women’s National Team will face Costa Rica in its first post-London Olympics international friendly on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sahlen’s Stadium in Rochester.

The U.S.-Costa Rica matchup takes place in the hometown of star striker Abby Wambach, the second-leading scorer in the women’s game with 140 career international goals. She has scored twice in two matches so far at the 2012 Olympics.
The USA’s first match after the 2004 Olympics also took place in Rochester, a 4-3 victory against Iceland on Sept. 25 at Frontier Field.
