The Webster Girls Varsity Golf Team came to play Pittsford at Mendon Golf Club on Wednesday and unfortunately for them Pittsford really came to play. The winning score for Pittsford was 52 1/2-25 1/2.
Pittsford Sutherland senior Kristen Bromley took medalist honors for the second time this season with a three over par 39. Her round included four pars and two birdies.
She stuck it to the pin on the fifth hole and made the short putt for her first birdie and then on the next hole, the long par five sixth, a nice one putt gave her another.
Mendon Senior Erin Thompson had a 41, the next lowest score, for second place. She also had a beautiful approach shot on the fifth hole which set up an easy birdie putt for her. She continues to lead the team in putting prowess needing only 14 for this round.
Webster’s Gina Livecchi took third place but the rest of the top places went to the Pittsford players: Sydney Ball fourth, Ellie Shemirani and Gabby Slavny tied for fifth, and rookie Lena Kaufman seventh.
Ellie had a chip in from fourteen feet off the green for a par on the seventh hole. Meredith Glenning led the exhibition matches with a nice 43.
Pittsford improved to 5-1 on the season.
