The 39th annual Walnut Hill Farm Driving Competition began Wednesday in Pittsford and will run through Sunday.
This event is an international carriage competition that seeks to maintain the traditions of driving and to honor all that the horse and carriage have contributed to America’s rich history. The competition will be featuring tent-housed boutiques and English gardens as well as offering refreshments popular in the late 19th century to give spectators the taste of Victorian life in America.
Performances will be held daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a special performance Friday at 5:30 p.m. Walnut Hill Farm is located at 397 W. Bloomfield Road, and spectators can purchase tickets at the farm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Parking for this event is free. For more information, you can call 385-2555.
